Z-Pak is the Bomb

Pros:Knocks out the plague in 5 days.
Cons:Expensive without insurance.
The Bottom Line: Great stuff if you have the "plague" while away from home. Works like a charm.
I travel alot for work and so I tend to get exposed to alot of things. I have been to Kazakhstan and now China and I can honestly say that if not for my Z-pak I would have been probably in the hospital for sure. Let me just share with you the latest illness.
I arrived in China to teach English for one year in a little place called Yangchun. I teach 800 little children or should I say "germ magnets". If you have ever been around little kids then you know that they cough in your face and sneeze right at you. They wipe their nose and then shake your hand. They are just walking plague that tends to be cute. So, with that background it was no surprise when I ended up very sick.
I thought at first I just had a minor cold but then the symptoms got very bad. I lost my voice which when you are a teacher isn't a good thing, and the body aches and chills were also not pleasant. Thankfully I had my Z-pak with me. Now I should have resorted to taking it sooner but I was trying to be "macho" woman and see if I could fight this thing off.
After a week of being very sick I resorted to the drugs. Now I suggest you don't wait that long. I know this stuff works as I have taken it before but I was just too stubborn to take it earlier. After the first two pills I began to immediately feel much better and by the end of the six pills in just 5 days I was totally over it.
Now don't over do with this stuff, just like any antibiotic your system can build up an immunity against the drug and then it won't work. I don't take my Z-pak unless I am sure that I won't be up to the fight. I had this experience in Kazakhstan this past summer and then in China.
I also have to tell you that a Z-pak is not an OTC so you will need prescription for it. I suggest if you are going to travel abroad that you tell your doctor and see if it is wise for you to take one along.
Z-paks are not cheap...and even with insurance you will still have to pay something I am pretty sure. I don't have insurance so my Z-paks are very expensive, usually they run close to $100. However it is a small price to pay to get over the "plague" if it should strike while you are away from home.
Oh by the way the thought of having to seek medical attention in either Kazakhstan or China isn't pleasant, so I suggest you pack whatever you think you will need to cure you. I take a medicine chest with me of stuff I know I won't find abroad.
So if you have tried other antibiotics and hate the 10 days of taking pills and having to take them several times a day then a Z-pak is the way to go. Also, I have many drug allergies and so far I have had no reaction to the Z-pak. Check with your doctor and be sure and never ever take someone else's drugs. Not wise...just my opinion.
