wsantschi's Full Review: Zooka Sports ZS740 Portable Pitching Machine
This machine is a blessing to my children and me. I am disabled and can no longer play sufficiently enough to work on my kids' baseball skills. I couldn't afford to go out and buy a $1000-$2000 Jugs or Atec machine. When I first laid eyes on the Zooka at a local sports store I admittedly giggled. I thought it was sort of goofy looking and assumed it performed similarly. Then the owner of the store then stated that he had a coach buy one after careful research and that he was very happy with his decision. So, I decided to follow suit and do my own research, even grilling the very approachable and kind folks at Zooka HQ. I could not find one derogatory thing written/said about the product or company. By the way, I now think she's the prettiest thing on the block.
For anyone looking to supplement their training tools I can attest this is a quality product. I happen to have a "hot" Zooka...no, it was purchased legally. By "hot" I mean mine throws consistently a little faster than the specs indicate. It is absolutely great at launching fly balls, line drives and grounders. It's battery lasts plenty long enough for a good, long workout. And, for just north of $600 it should accommodate most budgets. If looking for something that will get them prepped for higher levels of baseball, this is it!
