Peipei's Full Review: Dalai Lama and Howard C. Cutler - The Art of Happi...
That is how Dalai Lama translates into English. His Holiness the Dalai Lama of Tibet is the most amazing man there is. After being forced to live in Exile and watching his people and country systematically being destroyed by the Chinese this truly exceptional man can still teach others about peace and happiness. A friend of mine was feeling suicidal and I was very worried about him. I begged him to read my copy of "The Art of Happiness". He agreed and even though he is not the type to read such a book, something must have captivated his interest and he read it to the last page! He applied some of these practices to his own life and started to make sense of some of his problems. The Dalai Lama gives spiritual insight to one's everyday life. And although I am a Buddhist myself, I believe that people of other religions can benefit from this wonderful book as well. The author seems to be a little bit sceptic towards the Dalai Lama, but it is interesting to see how he changes his whole outlook on Him during their sessions. The author describes the affect the Dalai Lama has on other human beings to a "T". If you are a person that needs a little peace in their life, if you seem to get yourself in the same painful situations (love, romance for example)this book is for you.
