I just looked at the Frosted Cheerios box and the fourth ingredient is the corn syrup. I started munching on this at nite instead of pretzels, maybe now I should ditch the cereal and try something else.
Sounds like a great book. I have been going to the gym 3-4 times a week - well before the home burglary and now only twice a week, but have been using my stationary bike regularly.
Great review Letta!

I don't believe in diets but since we have that golf challenge coming up how about we delete;
Beans and legumes
Spinach and other green vegetables
Dairy (fat-free or low-fat milk, yogurt, cheese)
Instant oatmeal (unsweetened, unflavored)
AND insert whipped cream and chocolate??
Okay, good - what a beauty
Great yarn Letta

I enjoyed your review and the many good tips. It's almost sad that most everyone in our society is consumed with being on a 'Diet'. It probably wouldn't have to be that way if our food were not chemically altered, cattle, chickens & hogs pumped full of hormones to grow faster and bigger, and sports a mandatory subject in ALL schools! As you can tell, this is a sore subject for me and I'm always searching for anything organic.

You are right - diet is a dirty word - but a necessary one. I liked this article and am going to get the book. It doesn't look quite as rigid as some of the diet books I have purchased. You did an excellent job of reviewing it (as always}.
