Not as classic as Devils Night, but damn its close to being perfect

Pros:Great Tracks... Wow.. Get My Gun Much?!?!
Cons:Cant reproduce Devils Night. a few 'ok' tracks.
The Bottom Line: great cd.. please go buy it.. you will not regret it.

D12 World, D12's sophmore album, just dropped in stores today and i went to Target at 10:00am (skip Stat's this is more important) to get 2 copies.. one for me.. one for the Mitch. Devils Night is one of my favorite cds.. ever. I have been waitin for this album (along with Mitch) for years.. literally since about 7th grade. By April 26th i had heard few tracks (ill explain later which ones) because some of them were either leaked last year, or they were singles. After hearin good and bad things about this album, me and mitch finally were able to pop it in on his crappyass computer at around 7:00. this is my review...

You Know Whats Funny? Is I Am Such A Hard Critic. IF im playin so much money for a cd, it better be damn good. I pretty much hate every cd. I truthfully, was losin a little faith in this cd, cause how could they top Devils Night? after i listened to this album i needed to take a breather.


GIT UP - (Eminem; Swifty;Kuniva) Love This Track. I heard it awhile ago, one of the first songs i had listened to. It was originally titled 10,9,8.. hence Em's first few bars.
"'10 9, 8 7 6 5, 4, 3 2 1'"

The Flow is great. They hit you really hard and it is definitly not what you will expect. They use the 'banana Fanana Fo Fanana' rhyming scheme, which has never been done. Em's verse is out-of-space and jus hammers into you that rhyme usin guns and clubs as the analogy. Great lyrics and a great flow. Once Em's (over 1 Minute) verse comes to a hault, he kicks it with a hook that changes pace and really gets to the point, yellin 'Lets Get It Crackin', warnin D12 is back for another round! BOOYA! Then Swifty comes in and really does a good job followin Em.. He used his own style on this fast-paced beat and it worked perfectly. Bizarre has an outro that wasnt REALLY needed but not bad. Shout-outs the sound director Mike Strange.

Eminem: "risk it no biscuit, milli mac or mac milli.
Really wodie dont be silly, homie you dont know me really.
You're just gonna make yourself dizzy wonderin' what the dealy.
F--k it lets just get busy D-Twizzy's back in the hizzy!"


LOYALTY - (Eminem; Swifty; Kuniva; Bizarre; Obie Trice; Proof) Wow, this is a great follow-up track. The track is about stayin Loyal to Shady Records, D12 (as the group), Eminem (as the business man), Runyon etc. Swifty really comes good on this track. Obie Trice (D12's FIRST ever guest appearance on a main-stream song, let alone all of their mixtape crap.. i.e Invasion) has the 3rd verse (i believe) and comes harder than all of D12. wow. The beat is very nice and hard, another fast-paced song, usin the same type of instrumental used on Obies track 'This Is My Life'. Very nice and catchy wow. PROOF = WOW.

Talent's on my roster this mobster's in dump land,

JUS LIKE U - (Bizarre Solo) ok.. so does Bizarre really deserve a solo? dont get me wrong, i am a big Bizarre fan. His verse on American Psycho and Fight Music, i dont see how you couldnt like him. But hold up his own song? The beat is produced by Hi-teK, which you can cleary tell, seein that the last 2 songs were Eminem-produced songs and this has more of a slower, but catchy, pace. The hook has Bizarre song and a few others sayin 'I wanna be jus like you'.. and Bizarres 2 verses really are bizarre. Words are censored by the music industry, like always, knowin its Bizarre, tellin these kids to make their aunt denise get on the ground (too gross for me to add in this review)

Bizarre: "Don't go to school, become a catholic priest.
Sell crack to your Auntie Denise.
If Auntie Denise is short 40 cent,
Make her get on the ground and (s--k) some more (d--k)."
man!!


ILL BE DAMNED - (Kon Artist; Swifty; Bizarre; Kuniva) Well its a Kon Artist (Denaun Porter, the producer of big-hit single 'P.I.M.P. by 50 Cent), and even though it sounds cool.. doesnt compare to the last few tracks. Although the verses are nothin special (Swift's was rad, Pokes fun at Kobe), the Hook is great. How Porter says 'Ill be Damned, Ill Be Damned, Ill Be Damned, sounds GREAT! Bizarre doesnt sound bad, although he doesnt sound GREAT. Normal verse, explains vividly about raping a girl in a sink.

Kon Artist: "I take a light skinned, dark skinned, short and black,
add in to a sassy and they a$$ is fat.
Corporate suburb when you could be a classy rat.
Louis Votton cost to much to have a bag to match."


MY BAND - (Eminem; Swifty; Kon Artist Kuniva; Proof; Bizarre) Its My Band. Everyone has heard it. Although me and Mitch heard it a long time before anyone else! I Really like this song... screw everyone else. Yes i hate as much as the next D12 fan how kids at my school, WV, have people runnin around screamin 'My band my Band' and 'My Salsa Salsa!' its almost as bad as kids impersonating Dave Chapelle, impersonating Lil Jon shoutin at the top of their goddamn lungs "OK!' and 'YEEAH!'! wow, you guys are almost funny. My Band has a really good concept. Listen and read the lyrics. you will get the song. if you dont bother with the lyrics, dont bother with the song you prick. (Orcherstated trumpets and trombones while Em says My Band 8 times is GREAT.. reminds me of The Beatles 'SGT. Peppers Lonely hearts Club Band')

U R THE ONE - (Kon Aritst; Swifty; Bizarre; Proof; Kuniva) Hmm.. not bad. Not great though. Production is pretty cool. Sounds kinda like a 'single' type song (keep in mind that is production-wise). Flow isnt classic, I will listen to this song 1000x but it will probably be the first song i will eventually start to skip.

6 IN THE MORNIN' - (Eminem; Swifty; Kon Artist; Kuniva)Man O Man. This song, along with many others (Bully, Can-I-B--ch, Kim part 2 and Monkey See Monkey Do), was leaked in Mid-November. It is freakin good. Screw that Put it On the album still! At first, when all those songs got leaked, that was probably my least favorite. It grew on me to a point where i wanted everyone to hear it. I jus really like the openin instrumental. Its jus different and it is really goin for a certain flow. the beat is only for this song. Ya Know? meanin it couldnt be reproduced. It was like they created it to work WITH the lyrics, not the other way around. Ems last line is classic.. "..hit a girl accidently, I do this with Swifty, Kon and Kuniva Bizzy and Proof are you with me?" Sayin everyones name in a rhymin scheme is genuis. The Hook has been done many times, usin the generic '6 in the mornin' lines, but the voice and flow, as i have already said, makes it its own song.

HOW COME - (Eminem; Kon Artist; Proof; )Ok, now it gets... jus jaw-droppin type of music. The beat is soft, but every few lines hits hard with a bass that echoes repeatedly. Very dark and sad. Beat is a syntisized-piano-type of instrumental that has stayed in my head since i heard it. Em starts the song of with his hook that is quite movin and has MUUCCCHHH emotion in it.

Every 10 lines or so you can distinctivly hear a car swerve and skid in the background. (Although you can hear it, is is spooky and is almost not even there... its great)... One of the beat songs on this cd by far.

Wow, if you gotta hear any part of this song... Listen to Kon's verse. Great verse, along with an openin-instrumental which is jus a fast-moving violin that travels into his 3rd or so bar. Fascinatin song.. and it makes you think about what they were thinkin bout.

Eminem: "Now I feel a vibe I just cant describe it,
as much as your pride tries to hide it.
Your cold, your touch it's just like ice
in your eyes is the look of resenment
I can sense it, and I dont like it." Holy crud and a half.

LEAVE DAT BOY ALONE - (Eminem; Swifty; Kon Artist; Kuniva) This song, is really cool. Different, and you definitly need to listen to it alot for it to grow on you. Dont jus skip it cuz it sounds weird. Eminem does the hook, and Red Spyda does the production. The production is kinda elementary, jus a shakin can kinda, much like the horrible song on Cheers with Nate Dogg called.. wow i cant think of the name it was the only song id skit without a 2nd thought. But on the contrary with this song. i like this alot.

Alert: LISTEN TO INVASION FREESTYLE PART 3 BEFORE THIS! YOU WILL GET PART OF THE JOKE, AND THE VOICE EM USES!

In the freestyle, he uses a red-neck hickish type voice makin fun of Benzino, slurrin all of his words. He does the same on this track. "Leave Dat Boy ALLLOONNE"..

If you give it a few tries, i guarentee you it will not let you down.

Swifty: "It's my attitude that's makin' me bust s--t,
I ain't to be f--ked with,
so basically n--gas wastin' they time tryin' to touch Swift."


GET MY GUN: (Eminem; Swifty; Kuniva; Proof; Kon Artist; Bizarre ) HOLY $@*$(%&#()&# OH MY GOD!! #&#(&@! WOW.. THIS SONG.. sorry i need to calm down.. finally i can review THE song. Its almost like i cannot review it, cuz u cannot get the full affect. the best i can do is like, paste the lyrics here.

The production is by Slim Shady, and it sooo upbeat and fast-paced... it is so loud and hard and loud. It sounds so harmonious though, and the flow is unbelievable. Its like the best song ive heard in awhile. They add 2 different type of instrumentals in the beginning and end of every verse.

THEN em comes in for a verse, along with an interlude. While the chorus is playin, Em is gettin ready to shoot up a man. When he gets up he shots, but realizes he had no bullits. F$*%! thats when his verse comes in.. WOW.. Not even words can talk about it..

proof = more than great
Swift = Holy crap his flow is unbelievable
Eminem = freakin blew this track to Mars

Eminem: "I'm trying to pull the trigger but its stuck!...F--K!

B--CH - (Eminem; Swifty; Bizarre; Kon Artist Kuniva; Proof) PARODY SONG! Very rad song. It is very upbeat.. produced by Eminem ofcourse. This song makes fun of club songs. It makes fun of how girls say 'This Is My Song!' without even knowin what the lyrics say.. so this states how girls will still love it, and the whole song Em, along with D12, are jus makin fun of these ignorant 22 year old trailer trash girls who go to clubs 6 times a week.

Bizarre comes off great, one of the best verses.. very elementary, but very funny. He gets off topic of talkin bout girls and starts talkin bout food.

Hook goes back and forth with Eminem and Kon Artist, tellin a girl to do what they say cause, well, its the concept of the song. Its 'THE GIRLS SONG'!

Bizarre: I said f--k the H-e's, started eatin cheese cake,
scrambled eggs and steak, strawberrys and grapes
damn that sounds great, hold on wait (Bizzy)
ok, back to the b--ches, wash the dishes after that"

Eminem: "Like you understand what I'm saying Anyway

You're so f--kin drunk all you hear is the Beat da beat
I could be sayin anything Get ya a-s on the floor"

MAN THIS SONG IS ORIGINAL AND RAD. I LIKE THAT ONE ALOT.


D12 WORLD - (Bizarre; Kon Artist; Proof; Kuniva; Swifty) Produced by Kanye West! was expectin a hard, dark track, much like Devils Night's title-track, but it was the exact opposite. It is also, another concept. IT IS D12's WORLD! they can do what they want. it is very weird.
Bizarre raps backwards. They repeat 'Welcome to D12World'... The have a random meoldy sayin 'HmmNaNana'
Each member, except for Em, come in and out of the song repeativly. Havin multiple short, 1-2 line, verses... very odd, but at the same time, great.. in its own unique way! GIVE IT CREDIT.

40 OZ - (Bizarre; Eminem; Kuniva; Proof) Hard track. The comparisson to 'Fight Music' on Devils Night. It is a song that sounds like it could have not been produced by anyone OTHER than Lil Jon. Much like Get Low and Yeah. Although, this song DOES blow those pieces of crap out of the water. This was produced by The TRACKBOYZ. At first i was not feelin this at all, but as time progressed, and i learned al their verses, i can almost have this song on repeat. Not much to say.

PROOF KILLS THIS TRACK! (in a good way).. in the video, he is like a god! Check this out jus to hear Proof.

This song is about drinkin 40's, guns, clubs, and killin people. YOU ALWAYS NEED THIS ON A CD! ATLEAST 1 SONG LIKE THIS! IF NOT GO TO HELL AND DIE!

Proof: "I was raised by drunks, so I became a drunk.
80 Proof on this vodka, that's the name I want.
I'm in the club to beef, you gotta murder me then
Only talk to a b--ch with burgundy hair."

AMERICAN PSYCHO 2 - (B-Reel from Cypress Hill; Swifty; Kuniva; Bizarre; Eminem) !!! wow.. one of my favorite tracks on Devils Night was American Psycho. Jus a greeeeeeat track. Em and Bizarres verses on the orignal blew my mind. This one didnt do the same lyrical-wise, but REALLY made up for it with the flow, hook, b-reel, and the Production (BY DR. ANDRE YOUNG! (DR. DRE!)
Really this song kills. It is soo great. Bizarre is horrid, in a good way, talkin bout incest in tennessee.
Eminem states the issues about X-To-The-Z (Xzibit) gettin jumped at a club, and how Em is gonna find those guys and hit them with a bottle of pi$$, like what they did to Xzibit.

Eminem: "I'm bout to stop and get a fill-up,
pick the new Cypress Hill up.
And go find who did that s--t to Xzibit,
and go fill up a whole liquor bottle with pi$$
and shatter his f--kin' lips with it."

Bizarre: "They found Saddam, but they ain't gon' find me. I'll be under a tree in B--tf--k, Tennessee."


BUGZ '97 - (Bugz) Really nice track. Bugz got run over and was killed about, 5 years ago, RIGHT before D12 became famous and started recording their freshman album, Devils Night. Swifty replaced Bugz, and as much as i loved bugz, i am glad Swift is part of DTweezy. Really nice song.

GOOD DIE YOUNG - (Kon Artist; Bizarre; Kuniva; Proof; Swifty) Man... wow this is truely great. A Classic if you will. It is a dedication to people D12 have lost. Most of the verses go to Bugz. A very soft nice instrumental in the background, produced by Denaun Porter himself (Kon Artist). It talks about how great people get taken away from their loved ones, and we cant do anythin about it. I got goosebumps all over my body listenin to it, and i am gettin goosebumps now.

Kunivas verse beat all on D12 World. It is truely.. jus wow. His verse crunches my stomache. This is one of the best songs on the cd, and one of the best D12 songs ever. Very simple production, but its obvious the genius of this song comes from the lyrics, not the background of the song.

MAN SWIFTYS VERSE almost hit me as hard as Kunivas.. I dont even know how to explain. Its jus a great track.

Kuniva: "I remember back on that tragic day, my phone rung,
and Bizarre's voice tellin' me, Bugz was gone home.
It was like a knife piercing my chest and I couldn't breath,
I didn't wanna accept it, didn't wanna believe it.
And I swear with this weight dawg, I cried so hard
literally, Denaun had to carry me to the car.
While I stand in this booth now its tearin' me apart
but I had to let it out cause it was tearin' at my heart.
Cause he died over somethin so petty and so small,

KEEP TALKIN: (Eminem; ) Bonus track! a song that came out, about, 14 months ago! The production is very cool, hittin 3 notes gettin lower each time. A very cool flut-ish type instrument floods this song too. The lyrics make this song though. Also does Ems hook. MAN PROOF KILLS IT! soo good!

GREATEST ALBUM SINCE EMINEM SHOW. BLEW 50'S ALBUM AND OBIE ALBUM CLEAR OUT OF THE SKY! not to mention G-Units crap album...
