bowiephile's Full Review: Sleeping in the Nothing [PA] by Kelly Osbourne
Ever since she first entered our households on The Osbournes, Kelly Osbourne has been the issue of controversy: You either love her or hate her. Musically, she has a far worse fate, with her debut album, Shut Up, failing miserably.
With that said, Kellys new album, Sleeping In The Nothing, is a really good pop/dance album. Here some of the better trax
One Word-The albums first single, and probably the albums true gem. In the vein of the Pet Shop Boys, Madonna and Depeche Mode, this song is bound to pull anyone in the dance floor(its already a huge dance hit here in the U.S.).
Red Light- Set with personal lyrics and a strong 80s feel, this song is probably one of the strongest emotionally
Dont Touch Me- While this song deals with date rape, it somehow manages to be a fun song
Suburbia- This is another song that has potential to be a huge club hit. Filled with a moving synth beat and a catchy as f*ck chorus, you wont be able to resist this song.
The only drawback is Kellys vocals. Admittedly, she's not the best singer out there. However, it kind of tends to work with this album
Overall, this is actually a solid album. If you want a fun, danceable pop album, this is for you
