Pros: Price, sounds good, looks cool
Cons: Skips horribly, not very durable, slow MP3 seek time
The Bottom Line: Despite it's good sound & looks, its not worth all the hassle. Save some more money and buy a better product.

| hyperzone's Full Review: Aiwa CDC-MP32 Car CD Player |
- I had never had an Aiwa head unit B4. I wuz initially impressed w/ the look and sound of it. The colors were pretty bright but after toying w/ the dimming of it I made it more comfortable to the eyes. I wuz really happy w/ having a car MP3 player too. Although, I wish I would've read sum of these reviews B4 purchasing this head unit.
- First off, the plates that flip around and "hide" the unit when U turn U'r car off, break easily.
- Next, it skips so much it gets annoying and I sumtimes just turn the radio on so I can hear constant music. Granted, I'm driving a camaro w/ performance suspension but, I've had 4 head units since I've owned the car and none were as bad w/ skipping as this one.
- Secondly, I didn't like the fact that, if U'r in the middle of an MP3 song, and U turn the car off, the song will start all over again when U turn the car back on. It duzn't just stop the song and continue where it left off. Thats not to bad but, gets annoying when U take alot of short trips and keep hearing the same song restart until U just finally skip it and go to another.
- Then, I dont know about other owners but, the panel on the front of the unit w/ all the buttons for presets and CD controls, gets amazingly HOT while after B'n on for prolly 20min or so. Never seemed to cuz a problem but, U can feel the tingle in U'r finger tips if U'r holding in the seek button. Not to pleasant.
- Finally, I just had my last problem w/ it. I got in the car one day and the music started up like normal. I went to change the track and none of the buttons would function. NONE! There's a small reset button on the front panel that I pressed hoping to just reset the damn thing and it shut off completely. Now it will not turn back on. I dont know if its still a problem w/ the buttons or not. I had originally purchased the unit from a legit company on an auction for a good price but, upon calling aiwa, I find that they dont honor NE warranty from auction based sales. Now, I have to dig through credit card receipts and look up the company I bought it from and hope they will help me. If not, I'm out sum bucks, thats all. I think I'll go Alpine now.
