Pros: Good looking, easy mounting, bad condition use.
Cons: The worst sound for the money I ever heard. Price/value is lowest possible.
The Bottom Line: Don't buy or even try. If you need something for outdoor, and sound quality and sound pressure is the last thing you need, don't buy it even then.

I work for the video/audio professional company. Some customer asks us to install loudspeakers that are durable (for the mounting over the swimming pool), small and looks good. So I found out from Bose that they have one very good model that can handle bed conditions like high humidity etc. They told us that those speakers are capable to produce high level of sound pressure.
The first impression: very disappointed and I thought that I imagine something in the sound that’s not there. So I thought I will compare them to my small B&W 601 S3 that cannot handle much pressure but sound very well for the price(350€). This time I was disappointed even more. Comparing to the B&W, BOSE 251 are just toys, something that is not worth for the money. The price of 100€ would be the good price for one pair of BOSE loudspeakers, and not a dollar more. Those speakers are only for the outdoor use at very low sound pressures with very low quality in sound details. The frequency characteristic is not flat at all. High frequencies are almost not present in those loudspeakers, only the middle frequencies, and the middles are very strange. If anyone can prove that this loudspeaker are good for the price, that they have flat frequency response… - then I will buy it to you. The good thing about the loudspeaker is that they can be mounted easily on the wall, and they look good.
