I'll admit it--the whole reason why this television was given to me as a Christmas gift is because it's silver gray, rather than typical black. But aside from the color, I am thrilled with this TV/VCR's features and quality. It was extremely easy to set up as well--just plug it in and you're good to go!
First, the picture and sound are fabulous--clear and crisp. The speakers run vertically along the sides, and the volume control settings are perfect: with my old TV, the sound was either too soft or too loud, but this JVC TV/VCR has perfect sound, no matter what volume you're listening on. The speakers lend a really cool look to the set, too. I like the size as well; it's not too big for a small room.
The VCR works perfectly--I'm in love with it! One reason is because you don't have to change the channel to "3" before you want to watch a video. It records extremely well, without the fuzziness that you sometimes hear on a video recording. My lone complaint is that this VCR doesn't seem to fast forward or rewind quite as fast as some others. Still, that's a small price to pay for a great set.
Of course, the remote is great, too--it's silver/gray to match the television, and it has all the buttons on one remote. You don't have to worry about losing TWO remotes, and this one is big enough to keep track of without being heavy or bulky. From the remote, you can set the time, set the sleep timer, use VCR+, and utilize all of your TV/VCR functions.
All in all, this is a wonderful set--sleek look and great quality all-around. I will be loving this television for a long time!
