Pros: Great quality sound, easy to use, backlit display, no skipping, reads directories
Cons: somewhat flimsy, long startup time, takes long to switch tracks
The Bottom Line: The riovolt is an excellent buy for quality. It has a lot of options and is very user friendly. The biggest drawback is the material quality.

Specs:
- Switchable antishock protection, up to 120 secs
- MP3/WMA compatible, with upgradeability for new codecs
- Reads ID3 tags
- Multipixel, backlit display
- Programmable memory for ability to customize playlists
- 5 Equalizer modes
I recently bought a riovolt sp150 off of ebay. It cost $46, shipping was $20. The model that I bought had been refurbished but was in excellent condition. The only problem that I had with it, was that the remote didn't work. Its battery usage surprised me. I take it to work with me and one set of batteries lasted over 20 hrs. I have been very pleased with this product. It can handle multiple codecs and is upgradeable should any new codecs be written. It will read directories so if you store your music in folders you can just copy those to a disk and it doesn't take up any space. For shock protection, it switches from 40 sec. to 10 for cd audio and 120 to 30 for mp3 and wma. A light and compact cd player, it is durable enough to last until a better model comes out.
