Cons: Look, Sub control, assories overpriced and hard to
The Bottom Line: If you just want a standard CD/CD-R player this unit is ok for the price. If you want all the options this thing says it can do buy something else.
cpus10014sale's Full Review: Sony CDX-M610 Car CD Player
The CDX-M610 is OK. It sounds alright, looks good closed and the remote works about 8 feet after the battery is an hour old. The crossover lowpass/highpass works nice in addition to the crossovers on my amps. The sub control however is not an independant control like the older models. The unit has 3 preouts counting the Sub. You can add a changer, TV tuner or the dick remote but these add ons run more than the unit itself. Tuner $400, 10 Disk DVD changer $999, 5" LCD $599. A wire long enough to connect the TV tuner $50, a wire long enough to plug into the Monitor $40. The converter to use a lower priced moitor $50. The unit to add additional components $99. Now add this up and your system with a TV, DVD changer and monitor to watch it on will run you $2365 and you still have a pretty good, low end sound system. You can buy a high quality head unit that does all this and add a nice Changer for about $1400 and save $1000 and a lot of trouble finding the stuff to make the system work.
