Main events summarized for quick read. Digital edition has an amazing email blog.
Cons:
Written on a College-Reading Level. Photos and graphics are Black and white; no color.
The Bottom Line: WSJ provides so much relevant news content. Surprisingly, WSJ's subscription pricing is less than that of my hometown local paper. I'm a subscriber for life!
eresumes4vips's Full Review: The Wall Street Journal Subscription Magazine
I noticed that my co-workers were getting promoted...I wasn't. So I asked the question: What are they doing that I'm not? Answer: They read the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
That was 10 years ago; Now, 3 promotions later...I Can't Live Without My WSJ.
Within my work as a professional resume writer and job coach, I need up-to-date and accurate career & job data, Fortune 500 corporation insider news, national & international political events, and the latest in issues affecting the economy.
Further, the featured articles from Walt Mossberg (Technology Editor), Teri Agins (Fashion Reporter), and the Tuesday Career Journal is invaluable to me.
My most remembered article was the news break announcing Barack Obama receiving the Democratic Nomination for President of the USA. WSJ presented a balanced story, yet they, like I, could not hold back the the enthusiasm of the American Poliitical System.
Here, we have a moment in history. An African-American is participating in a Presidential race as a National Front-Runner. This phenomenon could not have happened with many people...to include both Dr. Martin Luther King as well as Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. The Journal was there...it captured the moment of history-in-the-making.
I recommend 3 things: 1) Sign-up for a Free Trial 2) Read All Pages from Front to End 3) Sign-up for the WSJ email blog
