I purchased the Kindle Fire By Amazon around valentines day from Wal-Mart for about $212 with tax and a free $50.00 walmart gift card. I figured that it would be a "cool" electronic device that I would use for a couple months then become bored with it. However That was not the case, I still consistantly use it (almost everyday!).

The kindle itself is very well built. It feels solid, so solid its a tad bit heavy.The kindle has a perfect size for reading, however the screen size for watching videos etc is a bit small. The resolution is great however.

The performance of the fire is fluid! I really like the platform that amazon picked. It is easy to navigate through the apps,etc. The apps are well organized and the kindle allows you to furthur customize this. The internet browser, i believe amazon calls it "silk" is very easy to use.

Reading on the kindle is fun and easy. You can adjust the brightness on the screen and the overall size of the kindle is much easier to bear compared to my ipad.

Overall for $200 entry level tablet/e-reader, the kindle is a must have! I would suggest buying the kindle before purchasing a ipad "Knock off" or a unbranded tablet.  For those who want the Ultimate Performance, the kindle may not be for you as it does have its querks! However for the internet crusiers, game players and the e-readers this is a perfect tablet!
