| lgraybill's Full Review: 2000 Beaver Motor Coaches Solitaire |
The best of the best from the original Beaver before Monaco purchased Beaver. This coach has the largest basement areas available on any coach, on board power washer to allow washing the coach at any location, bath and half for those who can't wait, large 42" TV in front with theater like sound, bar sink, kitchen sink, half bath sink, full bath sink, tile floor, 25" TV in master suite with walk around bed, all electric, no propane, C-12 Cat with plenty of power and 16% torque rise, residential frig with ice and water in the door, air ride seat for driver with heat/massage, 40,000 BTU basement A/C with condensate drains to the ground, Hurricane plus Comfort Hot heat, and the largest tires you ever saw on a coach.
There is one draw back. The turning radius for this 45' coach is 45 feet which makes it hard to negotiate roads in older parks with narrow sites. Have to stay in big rig parks but that has not been a problem. This is arguably the largest motor home ever built when you consider the length, width and height as it goes down the road. It is a monster but handles very well if you keep in mind the turning radius. No hump by the bed. Once you are in, it is all flat floor from the living area to the full width walk-in closet across the rear adjacent to the full bath and dressing area.
I tow a Jeep Cherokee Limited. Don't even know it is back there and without a supplemental brake system. The coach is so heavy it stops the Jeep without any problems with the service brakes required to stop the coach.
If you want a large coach and not want to pay a fortune for a Prevost, Featherlite or Newell, watch for one of these to come up for sale. There were only a total of 15 made in the years of 2000 and 2001.
