We bought our second hand 2000 Coleman Niagara Elite last year after spending some time tenting and the purchase of an old 1978 Starcraft popup. WOW!! You get to enjoy the outdoors, while enjoying the comforts of home. The storage at the front of the camper is a great advantage compared to our old 1978 Starcraft (our first step into the pop up world). It was great having the toilet and shower combo when we camped at Yellowstone. You can't help but feel a little guilty when it is hot outside and you are soundly sleeping with the gentle purr of the airconditioner while those in a tent sweat it out. Our 3 children regularly played on one of the King beds in the afternoon when dinner was being prepared, while the airconditioner was on. The camper has an outside and an inside stove which is great. I guess in some ways people seem to buy a tent, then a pop up, then a 5th wheel or motorhome but who knows, with skyrocketing gas prices the pop up may be the camper of the future!!! I think that if you are a family with young children you can't beat this camper. To be honest I never enjoyed camping until we moved up to more comfortable camping. The children sleep extremely well, the great outdoors seems to exhaust them, once they are in bed me and my husband get to sit by the fire and enjoy each others company.
