We have been talking about getting a Tent-Trailer for many years now and this year we took the plunge. We looked at Viking Models, Starcraft, and several others New and Used and finally decided on the 2001 Coleman Santa Fe.
The major considerations that made us go with Coleman are as follows:
1) ABS One-Piece Roof
2) Steel & Aluminum Frame (Not Wood)
3) One Piece Door
3) 4 pulleys instead of one
4) Clear Windows (Brighter)
5) Upright Sink Storage (Doesn't flip upside down)
6) Hot Water & Shower
7) Interior Space
9) Warranty. The roof, floor, beds, frame and etc, all have a lifetime Warranty and the "Canvas" is 5 years)
There were several other things that we like so that we purchased all at the same time.
Extra Propane Tank
Bunk End Storage Shelf
2 Portable Lights
Deluxe Add a Room
Bunk End Hide Away
All in all it's quite a nice unit when we are all said and done.
The Price we were at when everything is added in, after discount's etc. came in at about $8,100 US.
It travels well, is very comfortable and very quick to set up. You couldn't go wrong in my opinion because they hold their value really very well.
