Pros: Ease of towing and parking, set up. Better than a tent. Easy to heat, cool.
Cons: Leaks, floor rot, more features, more maintenence.
I bought this RV for ease of towing and minimal set up. It does both of these things very well.
Since I bought this used with many issues, I have corrected them. The seals of the windows to the actual camper leaked. Someone (the manufacturer?) used silicone and since the aluminum window frame and the fiberglass expand and contract at different rates, they leak. This was resolved by removing all of the windows and roof vent, cleaning the frames and replacing them with butyl strip caulk. Any time I had to remove a pop-rivet, I replaced them with stainless steel button head bolts, SS washers with neophrene gaskets, inside and out, and locking nuts with a nylon lock around the entire inside of the nut. No more leaks!
The beds are small. The front bed/couch is adequate for a child or smaller adult. The rear bed/dinette is a little better but you have to want to snuggle. The curved outside structure is great for reduced wind resistance but the trade off is reduced head and foot room inside while sleeping. If a person is 5 foot 5 inches, this will not present any issues. At 6 foot 1 inch tall, I can't stretch out unless I lay at an angle.
This not like the I dream of Jeanie bottle. The outside dimensions are about the same inside. Don't expect a lot of space in a 6 foot X 13 foot X 6 foot 3 inch tall living space. The actual floor space is about 4 X 7 feet. Don't forget that you have cabinets and storage areas that consume a lot of floor space.
I like this camper a lot and enjoy using it on a regular basis. However, camping with my wife and two large dogs becomes challenging.
I would reccomend this to anyone that wants the ease of towing and the relative security of a hard shell while camping. Once parked, all you need to do is level it out, connect the electrical cord and go to sleep if you leave the bed set up and don't have to reconfigure the dinette to a sleeping area.
If you think they are cute, they are but be advised THEY ARE SMALL!!!
The quality of workmanship on my particular unit is at or above many other RVs that I have had in the past. As with any vehicle or RV, you are going to have to make some compromises and expect to do some work to get it just the way you want it.
