Pros: It runs on 87 octane and starts right up.
Cons: Sucepible to rust in the rear hatch, oil leaks requiring about a quart a month.
The Bottom Line: Great styling, performance, buy it if it's well maintained with little rust.

I'm the original owner of this Toyota Celica Supra MkII. Still a great car after 255,000 miles I'd rather keep it than sell it and buy something less reliable. I orginally bought the car due to it's looks and performance. The car came with OME sport seats that keep you secured during sprinted driving and quite comfortable on long drives. Being a sport coupe the rear seat room may appear small, however compared to other sport coupe for that era they are fairly roomy. The Supra is easy to maintain and is quite the looker after all these years, I receive regular offers to buy the car on the street. During the first 100k I had the usual replacement items such as the; alternator, starter, fuel pump (2), water pump, clutch slave, brake pads, timing belt, and the oil pan gasket. A couple of surprise items were the wiper motor and the ignitor. Since then I replaced the shocks all around, the brake master cylinder, clutch, clutch master cylinder, and head gasket. The car is fairly easy to maintain for the Saturday mechanic, I even replaced the timing belt on my own the second time around. Upcoming maintanance items are the various rubber suspension bushings which should take care of the squeaking. Overall the car is mechanically sound with all electronic components in good working order.
