A friend gave the Prelude to me, so I am the third owner. The Prelude has been in New York all of its life, so there is plenty of rust and you expect that when you are dealing with New York weather. Overall I have not had any problems with it. I have replaced a few rusted parts, but the cost has been well worth it and even if I had bought this car I'd continue to maintain it until the body rusted off. I think Honda in general makes great cars, but Preludes are the best. I love second, third and fifth generation Preludes. I will buy another Prelude when I finally my 1986 model. I have 161,000 miles on it and the car runs like a charm. The Prelude's the only Honda car not built in the US. The Honda plant is in Ohio. I hope to get up there and take a tour. I hope that any one with a Prelude enjoys it and spreads the word on how great they are. I am sad to say that the 2001 Prelude is the last in the line and will not be back for 2002, so please keep those still around in good shape.
