Reliable Used Car

Pros: Reliable, gas mileage
Cons: Not trendy looking

My very first car I ever had was an '88 Dodge Daytona. My parents bought it used in '92 for 4K. I loved that car. Besides all the high school and college memories it brings back, it was a reliable car. I ran the hell out of it. In the 7 years I had it, I put an extra 150K miles on top of the original 50K. I very rarely had any work done to this vehicle. I had a few vacuum hoses replaced, the alternator replaced, and other minor typical wear and tear repairs. The most expensive repair was the alternator at $250. The gas mileage was great, about 33 miles per gallon. It handled well. Earlier this year, I decided to trade the Daytona in for an SUV. I miss my Daytona. I recommend to anyone who has the opportunity to buy one in good shape to go for it. You'll get many many years of reliability for a really cheap price tag.
