I wouldn't drive anything else.

Pros: Tight cornering, reliable rotary engine, a blast to drive, inexpensive.
Cons: Many electrical problems, poor fuel economy.
The Bottom Line: Buy it, you'll be happy you did.

Sure the car costs next to nothing, looks great, and handles beautfully, but you're worrying about the rotary engine.

Let me tell you, the 13B is a reliable engine when properly maintained. Keep the oil clean, it'll be good for 300,000kms. I haven't had problems finding rotary mechanics; they are around, so make sure you find one before purchasing the car.

There are many electrical problems with the rx-7.
Here are some common problems to watch for:
-Wiper switch doesn't work (or just high speed)
-Headlight switch
-Intermittent clock
-Intermittent Dash back-light
-Sunroof needs help to open, or off rails.

Note that these can be fixed either by yourself, or by any mechanic relatively easily.
