I am simple yet complicated guy. I just need a car to get me from point a to point b without leaving me stranded on the streets. So I went to autotrader and saw a used 87 celica for sale for $1400. I called the private seller up and i was able to get it for a $1000.


A month later the only Weakness that I could come up with so far is a little oil leak from the oil change pan. That can be taken care of by just simply changing the washer around the screw. ( which is probally worn out).

The Strengths that I like about this car is its 115 horsepowered engine and the body weight of the car. The engine isnt really all that but when you compare the engine with the body wieght ratio this car can go fast. The seats are also very comfortable. I also like the reliability of these Celicas. I was driving home today and I saw a brand new Dodge Indtrepid That was stranded on the streets broken down with its towing signals on. Thats why i bought one of these cars because i dont want to be in that situation. I also think that these late 80s toyotas are more reliable than some new cars out there. Ive been reading the horror stories about the kia sephia, dodge/plymouth neon etc.


Overall these cars are good I give it five stars. I gues the 94% of people on epinions who reccomend these cars to thier friends doesnt hurt either.


p.s I am putting it in this category because epinions changed the auto section of this site and somehow theres no 87 model, so im putting it in the 89. Its the same car anyway.
