I got my Cavalier Z24 (3.1V6) in the summer of 2004. It was my first car I bought myself. I had past by it on a car lot several times thinking "Now that's a sharp looking piece of machinery." My dad who grew up driving muscle cars even liked to looks of it. So naturally when it came time to get myself a car I naturally went to check it out. Me and my dad had argued over if it was a 4 cylinder or 6. To his surprise and my absolute delight it was a V6. Well of course as you can probably figure out I bought it for $1500, and being 14 years old it had some problems, but I didn't mind. I had the engine rebuild and modified, the transmission rebuild, the axles replaced, and of course the regular stuff like oil changes, new breaks, ect. No doubt it's cost me as much repairing it as it did to by it and it still needs a few more things done to it, but I'm a college student and can't afford it right now. Still every time one of my friends (except for one how absolutely love it too), says "man why don't you get a new car?" I tell them because she's my baby and I love her. This car when I got it wasn't in the best of shape. Sure the inside was nearly spotless, but under the hood, the transmission was shot, and so was the engine. It was literally running on 4 cylinders because the cam shaft was worn away so much. The mechanic who rebuilt the engine said it shouldn't have even ran. That's why I love her, she defies logic for me. Since then sure things have broke, but name a car that they don't. I'll probably never sell my Z24 because it is one of the last muscle cars if it has the V6.
