I bought a 1990 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 in the summer of 2001 i payed 2300 dollars canadian for the car. To safety the car i put another 1300 into the car to make it legally safe to drive. I replaced the entire braking systems on all four tires (lines, pads, etc.) replaced the rocker panels and had to purchase 4 new tires at a price of $600, The Car drove like a dream until that winter when i was pulling out of my driveway i heard a load pop and when i lifted the hood i saw that the motor had shot the 2 spark plugs back out denting the inside of the hood in the process. I took it to gm and they said they could,nt help me. I took it to a local mechanic and had him replace the piece that had cracked at a price of $600 then two weeks later i had to replace the entire fuel system (Tank, Sending unit. filter at a cost of $300. The spring of 2002 i had to replace the Constant Velocity Shafts at a price of almost $500 and recently i replaced the power steering line at a cost of $100. since then i have encountered no problems but i must complain that i am only gettin 21MPG. all in all i love my car but it has cost me a lot of money to get it to the point of where it is today (estimated $7000 in a span of a year)
