1991 Mustang

Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Excellent power, good workmanship, build quality.
Cons: Paint must be painstakingly cared for, if not the car will age rapidly.
The Bottom Line: If you find one that has not been owned by a kid, this is one of the most affordable Mustangs ever produced.

I've owned this Mustang for almost 12 years now. It doesn't seem that long at all. My Mustang now has 96,000 miles. The most serious problem I've had with it has been warped Ford brake rotors and warped speaker grills.
The car has allowed me to travel from the East Coast to the West in a weekend. It has a 5-speed tranny that I have never minded shifting.
It has several advantages over the 99-02 Mustangs, in that most all performance parts can be used on this Mustang as it does not have OBD2.Even with illegal for California speed parts, this car still breezes through Smog Check. Gas mileage is reasonable at 19/24. Ford could have installed a larger gas tank. 15.4 gal is not enough.
