This car is a keeper! We've owned it for many years now, and it still looks great, runs great, people can't believe it's a 1991 and can look so good. Classic rounded lines, not boxy, not too curvy, make it ageless. 175,000 miles, original engine and everything, what can I say? It's a Honda - you put gas in it and it goes!
I've always said that I would drive it until the engine blew, put a new engine in, and when it couldn't have any more new engines, I would park it in the backyard and plant daisies in it. Instead, we're giving it to my mother, who needs reliable transportation, because we can't bear to part with it. We certainly couldn't sell it for mere money! It's never let us down, never left us stranded on the side of the road, it's almost like a member of the family.
Cons are few and minor: the A/C can smell like a dirty dishrag after several years, but a $110 service at your Honda dealer which injects foam into the ductwork killed all smell/bacteria, leaving no odor of any type behind. Also, small pieces inside the car can sometimes break, but are easily replaced by my husband. The biggest drawback to the car is the burning oil smell when you have the oil changed, it drips onto the exhaust manifold and smells until it burns off. Irritating, but nothing's perfect, just put vents on "recirculate" until it's gone.
