This SUV is the best I've ever owned. I currently own a Ford Explorer and a Mistubishi Montero, and overall, this car can't be compared because it kicks there butt in the little things, in that case, the little things usually affects us the most. First of all, the 4runner is not slow, in traffic it's fast and it's very solid in the highway. It's pretty comfy in the front, kinda ok in the back ( could be better, but I don't care cauze i prefer to drive this baby). The engine is pretty good but the company should offer a v-8 for really awesome performance. You have a kick ass view all over. (MUCH BETTER THAN THE FREAKING EXPLORER THAT SUCKS and much better view at the back than the Montero). This suv has a great integrity, looks simple but it's solid. That's what I like about this suv. It's safe. 8 stars in goverment test crash plus it's higher and heavier than many cars so you'll safe and sound in normal crashes. It takes curves really well. I took a curve at 70mph that was a bit tight and it didn't even lean that much plus it didn't screech the tires. I took a smaller car, performance car(I don't recall the name) and at 55 it screech and leaned greatly on a turn. This car has a nice ground clearence. One of the best I might say. It's about 11 inches in 4x4 version. THe other 2 cars have around 7 to 8 inches only. It's a really good offroad and on-road suv. Best air conditioner too, brings a kick ass stereo. Excellent car to go from point a to b and also to have some fun. This car is for everyone who can buy it. If you want get it and modify it too. It's worth modifying this car because Toyota's have a good tendency of high reliability. I haven't had any problems whatsoever. The explorer(a couple) and the Montero just minor like the power locks are kinda messed up. Still, get the 4runner, people tend to love it. It's one of the few vehicles that have a high tendecy to be loved!
