I bought the car new in 94 because Honda had a very good reputation for reliability. For the most part that has held out to be true, but after 120k miles the transmission went bad. Other cars I have owed have faired quite better in the drive train department. There are a few other minor issues, including a squeak from the blower fan, that has been there from day one, though the dealer mechanics never seem to hear. We bought the car thinking about reliability, due to a yearly trip we take to CA driving. The car has been to CA and back from the Mid West 8 times, which is pretty good, but seeing as most of the miles come from hwy driving, I would have expected more. Which is a shame since it is a nice car for long trips. The front seats provide very good support even on the non stop runs cross country, though the rear space is slightly reduced and teenagers don't particularly enjoy the cramped space.
