I recently purchased my 94 Trooper with 92,000 miles on it from a private owner who was looking to uprade. I have had great experience with it to date and I find it to be my ideal suv for the money. Utilitarian looks, So much space and nice running I wish they would keep producing these light trucks but 2000 is the last year for the trooper. It drives and performs flawlessly on and off road. My vehicle was dealer maintained and meticulously cared for. I plan to drop a second engine in this one when and if it ever dies. I plan on putting another 100k on it and I don't doubt it will keep on ticking. Sure everyone has poor claims on mileage but...if 16-17 is bad would you call 18-20 good? Even the 96 Trooper is somewhat softened as compared to the roving 94 asthetics. You know your in a truck when you drive this thing. It handles fine if you drive it like a truck and not a sports car. I have yet to test the winter/power drive modes and I've had the vehicle for a brief time but I can attest so far, I love this thing. What a vehicle.
