Reading couple bad reviews above,I felt like saying this: I bought a 1996 Nissan Sentra GXE in summer of 2003.It had 93K miles. Since then I put 30K miles(!!!!) on it without having ANY mechanical problems of any kind.I did not pay much for it since the car was in an accident and whoever fixed it didn't do a good job on it,but let me tell you this: it's worth every penny and much more than I paid for it.Since the day I got the car I did nothing extra than a regular maintenance as an oil change! I replaced the original UV joints at 114K miles which usually don't last that long. It has a great gas mileage- it takes me just about one tankful of gas to get from Boston MA to Dover DE!!! And as far as comfort goes: I had a '89 Plymouth Acclaim,'99 Kia Sophia,plus I drove my friends' cars which include '96 Mitsubishi Galant,'94 Dodge Intrepid,'95 Mitsubishi Eclipse and can say with no doubt Nissan Sentra is by far one of the most comfortable cars I've driven.And that would include handling the car on the road in sunshine,rain or snow. Yes I think that they could have done a better suspension job,but it's not too bad either. The cup holder thing is uncomfortable but not terrible. I've experienced some problems with pw but I think it's because the of the accident the car was in(if you saw the car you would understand:) Anyways,I think it a great and very reliable transportation (cheap as well). Not the greatest looking car but if you go for looks you'll never go for Sentra anyways,right!? Plus my girlfriend has the same car,but '95,and she 100% satisfied with it.
