Pros: good gas mileage, comfortable car
Cons: oil filter location, squeaks and rattles
i bought my sunfire after my old car, a 1990 cavalier z24 was pretty much run into the ground. i was happy when i bought it. it was very clean, low miles, and cheap.
it didn't take to long to find annoyances. the biggest annoyance is the location of the oil filter when i do an oil change. you need to put the front end on ramps then crawl all the way to the rear end of the engine and squeeze your hand in to get at it. then it drips oil all over the exhaust manifold. it smells for about a week.
this car also rattles and squeaks a lot on rougher roads. to compensate, i turn up the radio.
this is a great car for a guy on a budget. i drive 500 miles a week. i am happy with the ride quality, the engine performance, transmission, and the little extras. i almost live out of this car.
end message: be very observant on the test drive. it could be either great or poor
