Pros: Good on gas. Great ride, very comfortable and small
Cons: Back seat is too small
The Bottom Line: Its is gas efficient and being that gas never seems to stay down tis would be a good buy for someone who is willing to pay for the work,

About a year ago I purchased my 98 Mystique for $500 from my cousin. She had been told numerous times that this car is no good and she should just buy a new one and so she did, and thats how I got "Mysti". This car did have quite a few major problems including all of the motor mounts needing replacement, shocks and struts and two new reserviors for the coolant and power steering. The brushels and some minor wiring had to be redone. So far I've put about 1500 into fixing this car. Im still in need of a paint job because of its previous careless owner but so far I can say its worth my money to continue fixing. So far so good. I do enjoy only putting in 20 buck of gas and it holds me for about 4-5 days depending on if I go to other place other than work. I do say, my Mercury has only been in the shop for the repairs stated above and only routine oil changes and brakes. I honestly would not sell this car because I know what deal I got out of the car. I paid 500 for it and put in 1500 to get it fixed. A simple 500 paint job my car would look brand new and I would only have spent 2500 total on a car that I own and have no payments on. 160,000 miles and she still rides like the wind. Its all in how you take care of your car also.
