You will want to drive everywhere in this car. I can't think of a single thing I don't love about driving it. The brakes are excellent. You will feel safe and confident in the most inclement weather. Stereo system is top of the line. Seats are attractive and comfortable. I would like to have automatic seats, but they didn't come with the A4 in 1999. For the money, it is a fantastic and fun car. If you can get one under 30,000 miles you can still take part in the service warranty - which is a great deal, but you may find that Audi dealers are overbooked and hard to get appointments with. I found the BMW a bit harder to drive and not as smooth, although it has more power. But the pick up and performance of this car are wonderful! A joy to drive.
