A couple of months ago, I bought a 1999 BMW M3 Convertible. At first, I was a little skeptical of how it was going to drive, and i was also a little discouraged because I knew that if I only waited a few more months, I could get a brand new, 2001 M3.
When I got to the dealership though, they told me that the waiting list was very long. 3 YEARS to be exact. So I went around to other dealerships and happened to stumble upon a 1999 dark blue M3 Convertible, and I said "What the hey..." and I took a test drive.
WOW! Was I amazed. Not only was the car incredible fast, but the handling was amazing. I was squealing the tires around corners going at about 35 mph. I was quite amazed also when I stepped down on the accelerator. WHOOSH! The car flew down street at about 60, and it only took about 5 seconds to get there! I had never expected this car to go so fast, but hey, it's a BMW, what do you expect?! So BMW had done it again, they had convinced another person to buy "The Ultimate Driving Machine", and this really was THE ultimate driving machine.
Well, when I bought the car, not only did I want it to be fast and have good handling, but I wanted it to look good when I passed someone going at 85 mph. The M3 has some great looks. The front bumper looks great as it nearly touching the ground. Also, not only does the exterior look good, but so does the interior. When I first sat down into the bucket seats, I knew I would enjoy being pushed backwards into the seat when accelerating. They were so incredibly comfortable, probably the most comfortable seats I had ever sat in.
Also, when I put the top down, the car seemed to be quieter than when it was up. Also putting the top down made the car look even sleeker than it already looked. This is most likely one of the best cars I have ever owned or driven!
