I originally bought the 1999 Cavalier because of price, looks, and recommendations. If you are really interested in my original epinion look it up! This is to inform whoever is interested the problems I have/ Had with the vehicle after it has been worn in. And some of the things that are still strong.
Some of the problems have been as follows: Tires Worn, 1 broken wiper blade, squeky brakes, passenger seat came of track that allows it to slide forward and back, back of drivers seat upholstery keeps coming undone, passenger door lock no longer works, trunk lock no longer works, dummy ashtray rattles, if you have a child that uses a car seat that has to be removed and put back in constantly, be careful and try not to keep hitting the plastic corner guards cause they WILL get scratched, a little rust on the hood hinges and finally, like someone else wrote the floor mat sometimes gets caught under the peddles.
Some of the things that are still good are: Engine still sounds and runs great, seat belts work, radio works good, heater/AC work and works fast, gas mileage is still good, and pretty much anything else not mentioned is good or great, 1 Thing that I also like that I didn't mention the first time was the speed control volume, the volume automatically gets louder as you reach a higher speed. (Also See Below)
And a couple of things that bother me are: Forward and Rear cup holders are pretty much useless, it always allows the beverages to tip, hard to vaccum around E Brake Area, also hard to vaccum at the very back of the window, I hate that the cargo net gets caught in the latch of the trunk, I also don't like that the drivers seat doesn't go forward automatically when you move it forward to allow passengers to get in the back, like the passenger side, and that pretty much is everything.
