I moved to LA and, well, I got a car. So what did I look for? Something affordable with good gas mileage that wouldn't cost alot to fix and that would get the job done. I decided to forget about status and luxury in a town that thrives on it and just went for dependability.
And that's what I got.
I bought my car from Hertz Cars sales and got a good deal at 8500.00. So far I can't say that it's been so bad. It gets a slow start and I cannot make a comfortable U turn in it because it just seems to need alot of room. But if you don't live in a town where everyone races you at every stop light and you don't need to make quick u-turns before an onslaught of speeding demons then you should be fine. If all you need is dependability, average comfort and happiness at knowing your a true American with an American car you'll be very satisfied. As for me, I grin and bear the fact that I'm not a star and laugh my way to the bank to deposit that extra 300.00 a month that my roommate shells out for his flashy BMW roadster that just cost him 600.00 for new brakes (and another 500 for a new clutch). So what matters to you?
