My last car was a 95 Lexus LS400 and decided $50K luxery cars are too boring. Since I have driven automatics for most of my life, I needed to learn how to drive a 6 speed sports car so I purchased a 6 year old 2000 Glossy Black Corvette as a practise car. I discovered a welcome side effect while driving the Vette: I am over 50 and now I feel like a teenager again. When I refuel at a gas station, I get compliments for the Vette which I did not get when I had the Lexus. I used to hate my commute to work and now I look forward to it. I now get my entertainment smoking Japanese sports cars. The most amazing thing about this car is how the car grips to road. You have to drive a Vette to understand this. The sports clutch also is difficult to use at first but it is designed to shift at 4500 RPM like a race car. People who like Luxery cars will hate this car. People who like to drive fast will love it. Be forewarned, if you buy a Vette, it may be the last car you will ever buy because buying anything else is a step down. One surprise is that I get 20 MPG on the freeway with the 6 speed.
