When we got married we each had a truck. Before we had time to plan our next move, the twins came. They were little four pound premies.
The only car we had to transport them home was a twenty six year old Volvo.
It was a fine toy for a single man, but not reliable for constant use or in case of emergency. We needed a vehicle that was safe, reliable, and reasonably priced.
We searched the net and the ads. We visited car lots. We scoured the newspaper ads. It was a very frustrating process. We eventually went to a GMC dealer and they treated us very well.
We bought a two wheel drive GMC Jimmy with all the extras. It has leather seats, a sunroof, a Bose stereo. It also has an overhead information center where you can check MPG, direction, outside temperature, and other data.
It is a stylish black with gray leather interior. The seats are extremely comfortable. The ride is smooth with very little road noise. The V-six engine is economic to run and has the power when you need it. But most important of all for us was the ergonomics. The four door design and the roominess of the back seat make it easy to take the twins anywhere. And when we take out the car seats we have a very handsome car for any occasion.
If you are a young family, or even a more middle age family, with or without kids; this is the vehicle for you.
