The Odyssey is a well-designed mini-van but problems have been plaguing mine from the beginning. It's fun and easy to drive and is extremely versatile. Unfortunately it has been the least reliable vehicle I have ever owned.
Within a year of owning it, the transmission had to be replaced. Two other friends have also had their Odyssey's transmission replaced. Not what I was expecting with Honda's reputation. After contacting Honda Customer Service, the warranty was extended.
Highlights of problems with my Odyssey:
Transmission replaced.
Air Conditioning repaired.
Center stop-lamp replaced.
Minor electrical problems.
Oxygen sensor replaced.
Back light for hazard switch replaced.
Catalytic to be replaced as soon as part is in.
Driver window switch replaced.
Weather stripping replaced on drivers door.
For those considering buying an Odyssey you can see for yourself. Notice how many Odyssey's on the road have a burned-out center stop lamp. You'll be surprised.
Glad to see others haven't had these issues, wish I didn't.
