I own a 1999 model and it has been in for constant repairs.

It has a very stiff ride, very uncomfortable, handles so - so, and has terrible quality control problems.

Mine has been in for numerous electrical problems, doors openning on their own, failed electronic door locks, windows, CD changer replaced 3 times, etc.

The 4WD shift lever vibrates so loud when accelerating that you can't hear the radio over it. I have had it back to the dealership 3 times and they refuse to do anything about it.

You also have to change the transmission fluid every 18,000 miles which is stupid.

The engine is sluggish and the transmission is geared too high.

The only good thing about this vehicle is the brakes have lasted a long time.

In my opinion the Toyota 4 runner and Ford Explorer is a much better rig - this is the same vehicle as the Isuzu Rodeo and the Honda dealers don't like working on them.
