Pros: Resonable price, comfortable, appealing
Cons: none yet
I have always been a fan of the Lincoln Town Car but when I saw the Lincoln LS, my mouth watered. Okay...maybe that it is a bit of an exaggeration, but this car is surely a beaut and not that bad of a price compared to other luxary cars.
What made me buy this car was a combination of its performance, price, and good looks. With performance, I found out that the LS was given the highest rating in collision tests. The LS that I got was the V8 Automatic for a base price of $35,290. The standard engine in this car is a 3.9L V8 and it is a 5 speed automatic transmission. The horsepower is 252 at 6100 rpm. It can drive 17 miles in the city/ 23 miles on the highway per gallon.
The LS gives ample space in head and leg room. For those of you who want numbers, I found out the exact stats:
Head Room (Fr/Rr) 40.4/37.5
Leg Room (Fr/Rr) 42.8/37.4
Shoulder Room (Fr/Rr) 57.7/57.0
Hip Room (53.0/54.4) 53.0/54.4
One of the good things about buying this vehicle is that it already includes many standard features in the base price. As for the LS V8 Automatic, some of which include alloy wheels, anti-theft system, cruise control, keyless entry, fog lamps, power steering, power mirrors and windows, leather seats, AM/FM radio w/cassette, second row folding seats, tachometer, and traction system. The only major optional features that they offer are a CD player and telephone.
Outside of the usual maintenance, I have had no major problems with this vehicle. I opted for the optional V8 engine, but I guess it really didn't matter if I got the V6 because my old car was a V6 and I don't see much difference.
