I really couldn't afford a new car at this time, however, my old car gave every indication of a slow death. I looked at Toyota's, Honda's and the Nissan. They all had cars in a similar price range. The Corolla just didn't look like it had enough leg room in the back seat. The Honda was a little pricer.
So having checked all the cars out on the web, I decided my best bet was the Nissan Altima. I am so glad I made that decision, I just love my new Nissan. The sticker price was higher than the Corolla but I was able to get a better price and lower financing through Nissan.
It has a big trunk, plenty of leg room in the back and front seat, and lots of options. I got a stick-shift and the car rides so smooth and quite that I have to remind myself to shift gears, I have driven a standard for over 20 years now and I have to drive 45 minutes every day to get to work on the interstate.
The only thing I have found that I don't like is the new car smell, and that will go away in time. The sales staff at the dealership were so courteous and helpful, there was no pressure tactics used and they didn't try to sell me things that I didn't need.
I would recommend this car to anyone that is looking for a smooth ride, great features and a low price. You can't beat the Nissan Altima.
