My husband bought me a 2001 Solar Yellow 4x2 Xterra. I had been wanting one since they came out. I live in Alaska, and my beautiful yellow Xterra has taken us to many cool places. It gets lots of looks when I'm out driving. We have been to glaciers, through lots of snow and ice, over mountains, and to the beach (yes, even in Alaska there are beaches). The factory sound system is great, and the interior is roomy for it's size. There are plenty of ways to get your gear in this SUV, and still have room for the kids and dogs. I just wish it got better gas mileage. My Xterra goes wherever I ask it to...with no questions asked. The only way I'd get rid of it was if I got a 2003 Xterra!
