and I just bought the same - Subaru Forester 2001 - I LOVE IT!!! - I had a different experience with Subaru, though. I had previously purchased a 1998 Subaru Legacy (mailcar) and had some problems with the brakes (due to the mail route, undoubtedly) - but, Subaru did help me to solve the problem to my satisfaction. You've written a good review here - just thought I'd comment since we share a common car! Smiles, Gina

My husband loves suburus and we live in
beaverton also
so I'll keep in mind what you said about Carr.
He bought his current suburu in lincoln city.
