The 2001 Toyota Tundra is probably the safest truck on the road. That alone is a good reason to buy this truck. The interior is roomy (even the back seat). My complaint with the back seat is not the size (it is a full size rear seat, or close to it). The seat back and the seat are at a 90 degree angle. This is uncomfortable for anyone riding back there for an extended period of time. I bought the truck knowing that our first child was coming soon so the fact that this truck has a proven safety record was good. We have a car seat installed in the center of the rear seat and there is plenty of room. The car seat doesnt move at all. It is like it is a part of the truck. It is easy to install using the trucks built in anchors. However, I dont know if Id be able to fit two seats back there at the same time.
This truck is perfect for work and play. I have hauled everything from lumber to couches with ease. My family and I drove it from southern California to Montana for a summer vacation. I couldnt have asked for a more easy and comfortable trip. I now have over 40,000 miles on this truck and it is still running like new.
In my opinion (from first hand experience) this truck has way more positives than negatives. First and foremost SAFETY!
