2002 Ford Crown Victoria

Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: ROOM!!!!!, built with Ford quality, great ride
Cons: Power windows seem like they need more power, gas mileage
The Bottom Line: This car lives up to it's previous models and will never let you down

Last year we finally decided that our 1997 Ford Taurus just wasn't going to cut it anymore. When we bought the Taurus we were really looking for another Crown Victoria but found nothing in our price range. We didn't make the same mistake twice we were set on the Crown Victoria and I can safely say that no one will be dissappointed with this car. We got the packed LX edition which has cd player more powerful engine, and all the other bells and whistles. There are still some features in the new Crown Victoria that remind me of our old 1988 one(which we still have and it still runs with 147000 miles on it). First there's the steering. There are some points where I feel like I'm driving a bus. This cars steering is quite light, you won't have any trouble turning the steering wheel it's just you have to do it so many times to turn. Another thing is the gas mileage. This car gets gas mileage that makes some SUV's look like economical cars. It's mpg range around 18 miles per gallon on normal street driving and 25 miles per gallon on the highway. However this doesn't mean your find yourself having to stop at the gas station often becuase this car sports a 20 gallon fuel tank.
Although, this car does have it's downsides there are a lot more up sides to it. The safety ratings of the car are great. I feel completely confident that this car would save me in an accident. This car is roomy. Comparing it to a Toyota 4runner or a Ford Taurus the Crown Victoria has tons more room! I (being 6 feet tall) can sit quite comfortably with my uncle (who is 6'4") driving. Also can't beat the trunk space. This car also has the engine to back up it's size. when you hit those highway on ramps you can feel the car taking it with ease. Recently my mother has started gardening and using large amounts of mulch. however she doesn't want to pay professionals to come and drop it off we use our crown victoria. now with 600 pounds of mulch in the trunk this car still has no trouble driving around. It almost feels as though the added weight helps it.
Bottom line this car is great. Not one bit of trouble in the time that we've owned it. If anyone is looking for a good sized car look no further. Built with Ford quality.
