We bought this 2002 Mitsubishi Mirage about 6 months ago, because we only had one car for my husband and I, and the other car was beginning to fall apart. Oh, we looked and looked and looked for a car in our price range with low mileage. All we could find for $6000 cash out the door (this price had to include tax, license fee, etc...) was newer model cars (2002 and above with outrageously high miles (120,000 miles and up) or older model (1993-1999) that also had high miles. We were looking for a reliable car that would last us for a while with decent miles. EVERYONE told us that we were not going to find this, until we went to a specific Toyota Dealer in Long Beach, Ca. At first I passed this car up because my husband didn't like "red cars", he said that this was for woman. But then, after driving away from the lot, about 2 miles away, I made a u-turn back to the lot. Thank God I did, because I love this little car. The red is a beautiful dark red color (no orangey shade), no scratches or dents noticeable, looks like a virtually new car! Nice beige interior, not the crummiest car, but it fits our family quite nicely, decent pick up, after all it is a 4 cinder, no problems thus far, this car had 67,000 miles on it when we bought it, and now has 77,000 miles on it. Did I mention... Great on Gas mileage, I put about $25 in the tank and it lasts about a week or so...ahhhh nice, especially with gas prices the way they are in California! Oh yeah... POWER EVERYTHING!!! This is the first car that I every had with power windows, and I love, love, love, it... Needless to say, this car is great for my family. I love it...Highly recommend.
