Still in love after 3.5 years, 81000 miles

Pros: Size, seats, ride, RELIABILITY
Cons: Could use more power accelerating over 40mph. Husband says it a "girly car"
The Bottom Line: Great SUV for those of us who don't want to drive tanks.

I have been a Toyota loyalist since 1985 when I bought my first new Toyota fresh out of college. It had been my favorite ever until in Jan. 2002 I bought my Rav4. I had previously owned 3 corollas, 3 camrys and 1 4 runner (still own), but had become bored with the ho hum sedan that Toyota produces but have come to expect the reliability so I was skeptical about venturing into other makers vehicles.. I also commute 50 mins. each way to work in the winter so I also wanted to try AWD. I had planned on blue, but the dealer had no blue in stock with the options I wanted, (sun roof, manual transmission, remote entry). However, when I walked into the showroom from the lot there was a gold one that I instantly fell in love with and knew I wouldn't leave without it. Now 81000 problem free miles later I'm still in love. I love the way it drives, the size, the way the seats sit and its ease of maneuverability. With the anticipation of the all new 2006 Rav4, I'm not sure I will get one because I love this one so much. I figure I have about a year to decide because that's when I will turn 100,000 miles and will have to decide to keep it to its death or buy a new one then. I guess it depends on what they do differently to the 2006.
