the engine is very peppy. you will not be disapointed there; however, whoever programs the shift points needs to be fired. there is a sport mode, but you have to drop it into the standard drive setting b/c for some reason in sport mode 5th gear isn't accessible. faster than bmw 325ci. this is an overall great car. the quattro is a great handling feature. you can feel it dig in on hard cornering. the car leans more than a bimmer, but with the quattro system the body roll is quite acceptable and works well with the car. the xenon lamps are ok, but they point too far downward on dim setting and hallogen bulbs are activated for bright setting in conjunction with the normal xenon. (not as bright as bmw and they should be designed to burn on bright as well) buyer beware if you are over 6'0". your knees will constantly hit the key in the ignition and expect sore knees due to the cramped leg area. most people will be able to overlook the minor ergonomic annoyances, but the ignition key positioning and the cramped driver leg area pushed me to sell mine only months after purchasing used with 32k miles on odometer.
the car is much more equipped and a great value over the bmw, but for some reason not designed well for taller drivers. i guess audi builds the a6 for people over 6'0".
overall a nice car with small driver accomodations. great motor, suspension, odd transmission shift points.
