I have a 03 Kia Sorento EX for my company vehicle, which I was allowed to pick out based on the company's price allowance. So I was looking for bang for the buck. The Sorento delivers on that point. Most of the folks as work laughed when I told them what I picked out, until they rode in it. Everyone, with no exception, was surprised by the fit and finish and quality ride of the Sorento. I wanted to write a opinion on the Sorento earlier, but I wanted to see how it held up after a few miles - I just turned over 66K, the the Sorento still runs like new. I put in a lot of road miles with hours behind the wheel, and I have to say the seats are as comfortable (even more) than my wife's Infiniti. The only negative is the gas mileage,(15 to 20 MPG) but if you compare the Sorento to its true competitors like the Ford Explorer or Chevy Trailblazer, it is compatable. I always got the impression that people expect any vehicle with a Kia nameplate to get 40 plus MPG. The Sorento is a truck based SUV, which means it has a full frame, is a heavy vehicle, which gives it the superior ride for its class, so it's not a economy car - if that's what you are looking for, buy a Kia Rio. I have been so impressed with the Sorento, I would purchase another without hesitation. I can't speak for any other vehicle in the Kia line, but with the Sorento, Kia got it right!
